Buying SENA Bus Tickets from the US (Rome to Siena and other destinations)

Italian SENA buses connect Rome with Siena and many other Italian destinations.

If any of you have tried to buy bus tickets online from the bus line SENA, you may already know that American issued credit cards are not accepted.

It is possible, however, to reserve seats in advance from the US, by calling their main phone number or by sending an email message.

Just specify place of departure and destination, the departure time of your bus, number of passengers in your party with relative names.

A SENA representative will get back with your reservation and seat assignment.

It is than sufficient to show up at least 20 minutes to a half an hour before the departure, to pay and get your tickets. Give yourself some extra time to locate the small SENA ticket office in Piazza Tiburtina, if you are leaving from Rome.
